Hasty Pasty does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. We don't have accounts, analytics, or tracking of any kind.
All clipboard content is encrypted on your device with AES-256 before it leaves the app. The relay server only sees ciphertext. The encryption key is derived from the Shared Clipboard's connection code, which never leaves your devices.
The server facilitates connections between your phone and desktop. It processes:
Connection metadata — IP addresses, connection timestamps, and message sizes. This is inherent to any network connection and is not logged or stored.
Encrypted messages — passed through in real time and never written to disk. The server cannot decrypt them.
The plaintext content of your clipboard. Ever. Decryption only happens on your devices.
Shared Clipboards exist only in server memory and expire automatically after 24 hours of inactivity. There is no database. Nothing is persisted to disk.
Hasty Pasty does not use third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs in the iOS or macOS apps.
